"Ariel Bui: Analog" at Nashville Community Darkroom's Deadline Today

  • Nashville Community Darkroom 1143 Gallatin Avenue Nashville, TN, 37206 United States (map)

Nashville Community Darkroom’s Deadline Today is the East Side Art Stumble’s only film photography scramble. In a fast-paced, all-day competition photographers are tasked with shooting, processing, printing and displaying their photographic interpretation of a common theme. The resulting work will be judged by members of the community who stumble over to the Nashville Community Darkroom every second Saturday of the month from 6-9pm. A winner will be selected and announced at the end of the night.

The theme of Nashville Community Darkroom’s September 10th Deadline Today will be “Ariel Bui: Analog”. To celebrate Ariel Bui’s September 25th Vinyl Release at Fond Object, photographers will have the opportunity to do a film photo shoot in Fond Object’s Back House OR can go out on the town and shoot on the general theme of “analog”. The work will be displayed amidst a listening party and exhibit of Ariel Bui’s all-analog album and hand-made album art during September's East Side Art Stumble.

Join Nashville Community Darkroom to see film photography, hand-made art, and all-analog vinyl truly shine in our immediately gratified, digitally-obsessed, image driven lives. Nashville Community Darkroom is located at 1143 Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville, between Young’s Fashion and Camille’s Market. Participation is open to all levels of film photography experience.
